Excellent, poignant, real and perceptive about the human condition.

Also, deeply, almost frighteningly, informative re: what overwhelming pain means.

Keep up the good work and keep on keeping on.

One of the reasons I love good books so much is exactly this, the writers labor to peel away all the superficial tripe to reveal the essential selves within their protagonists.

A good analogy would be the moon; it wanes and waxes all the time based on light from the sun but everyone knows it is an eternal sphere.

We are just little points of light who happened to pass by for a short time on this spaceship called earth, whose sole purpose is to watch Audrey Hepburn flicks. ^_^

Such a profound post and on my birthday too. Well done.

All of the photos in these albums are the work of Dorothy Gantenbein, an artist who's work was descibed as,"...incredible. It's as if the artist feels our pain, and captures it in a picture..." Dorothy has suffered with athsma her entire life. She has graciously allowed us to use her work to decorate our site. She has a vast compilation of photo essays on her own page, which I urge you to visit. Check her site frequently! Dorothy is prolific. Her work is not for sale. Make sure to double click on the thumbnails. It's worth it! I'll continue to add new photos. Thanks Dorothy, Colin Her site is: http://www.dorothyphoto.com/dorothy_photo/
