It shouldn't have come as any surprise, but it did. The more bloggers I meet, the more people who slam out blogs as a substitute for work, the more surprised I am.
Is the whole country now disabled? And have we all built sites? It's like a rising tide, a force of nature. Many of the disabled blogger community write blogs for the benefit of the similarly afflicted while others sharpen-up their pencils to write about newly learned skills, in particular, tech, in all of its manifestations.
Others share their expertise gleaned from years of work experience to hobbyists who have become experts in various and sundry hobbies.
Who knits?
Antiques, anyone?
Politics, news, op-ed...you name it, it's blogged upon. Celeb gossip fights for the readership against music, in all of its' iterations?
The common denominator seems to be disability across the entire blogsphere. I'm curious, will you disabled bloggers drop me a line or post a comment under this article about yourself and your blog?
If you do, I'll create a page on this blog, referenced by topic listing all of the blogs I hear from. Let's see what happens. Get me at [email protected]. God bless you all. Hoping to hear from you, I'm, Colin
After a number a friends faced disability issues, I decided to develop a web site to help them. My goal is to separate the wheat from the chaff so what time they spend researching will be more productive.

Are you finding that people are making accusations that if you can blog, you can work? Is that what you are saying? I just want to be clear. And if so, how do you respond to these people? I think personally that that is preposterous, but would like to hear others' opinions on this issue. How sad if the one thing many disabled people are able to do from home or bed will end up working against them because some people cannot accept that some are truly to sick or in too much pain to do regular work on a professional level and consistent basis.
