Sorry for not posting sooner. Kathy, who suffers from LAM, has endured a traumatic personal eperience; thank God no one was hurt. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you,
Dear Colin,
I hope you have some good news (or any info from the doctor.) Our house was struck by lightening and started on fire. I got smoke inhalation (as did Colyn) but we all made it out alive and unburnt. I'm not sure about the house! We have not been able to check out the appliances, electrical circuits, etc. yet but know there is smoke and sooty grease over most everything. I'm not sure how much my lungs have been compromised.
At the hospital they said they were not familiar with LAM and didn't have time to look it up --that I should go home and research it online> Sure, I'm positive I would learn a whole lot more than I know now. Sorry. My own sarcastic nature (and the massive amounts of cortisone and albuterol and atrovent are speaking.) We were very blessed and all made it out alive, even the dogs.. I keep being thankful for that.
Please keep us in your prayers, especially our daughter who is taking it very hard. Her new school year is not starting off very well. Sorry I haven't been contributing much but everyone has been in my prayers. Please tell everyone to hang in there and that I'm thinking of them. (I can use any tips on cleaning up the mess after a fire if anyone has them.) Take care. More soon.
Breathe in Peace, a gritty and sooty Kathy
