Kat Phillips

Hi,
I found the link to this site on a Firefox add on site and I'd like to thank you for leaving it there.
Colin, I too have the disc and vertebra damages that's led severe chronic nerve damage, and it's like having a very unwelcomed guest always screaming at me. Some are inherited problems but most comes from working hard, long after I should have stopped and taken those breaks. There's no going back, I'm now considered disabled and now have to deal with pain meds and all that comes with that. Life as we know it changes in ways we could never have imagined.
My son has the same genetic problems but is 24 and never going to have anything wrong with him. How I wish this was true! How I wish I could just get him to take a minute and read what you've wrote, a man's version of what I've tried to talk to him about. Your article is bookmarked for me, and hopefully the day will come soon enough to sit him down and let him read it.
Thank you again for posting the link and for this article, it will be what I count on to maybe keep him from needing to write an article like this later in his life.
Take good care of yourself and God Bless, Kat

All of the photos in these albums are the work of Dorothy Gantenbein, an artist who's work was descibed as,"...incredible. It's as if the artist feels our pain, and captures it in a picture..." Dorothy has suffered with athsma her entire life. She has graciously allowed us to use her work to decorate our site. She has a vast compilation of photo essays on her own page, which I urge you to visit. Check her site frequently! Dorothy is prolific. Her work is not for sale. Make sure to double click on the thumbnails. It's worth it! I'll continue to add new photos. Thanks Dorothy, Colin Her site is: http://www.dorothyphoto.com/dorothy_photo/
